About Ploffo

Why

I am bitten by social, AI and marketing. That makes for an odd mix of work: photo booths standing where people are already waiting, a café with different specials every week and an event on top, my own apps, a law firm, and short assignments in between that simply turn up. Every one a different audience, a different pace, a different tone.

What they had in common was the mess around it. Visuals came in over WhatsApp, over email and through a shared folder, and the latest version was rarely the one everyone was looking at. One client had a text checked with a screenshot in a group chat. The café wanted to change its specials one last time, two hours before it had to go out. And every time the same question: who approved this, exactly, and when?

Every tool I tried did the same half of the work: schedule and publish. The other half — approval, proof — was always missing, or sat in a separate tool that did not talk to the first one. No file to put in front of a client, no trace of who approved what, and never an answer to the only question that matters: did it go out as agreed? For a law firm, that is not a detail.

So I built the other half, in the same product. Ploffo schedules, gets sign-off over one link, and keeps for every publication what was sent, what the platform said back, and when. Not because it looks good, but because one day you will need it.

Who

Behind Ploffo is Njusja Orban, creative at Defy & Brand Events — DB Events BV in full: marketing, websites and consulting.

SEO and GEO came next, under the name ceeme, and now content planning, with Ploffo. The same rule runs through everything: a number without a source is an opinion.

Questions we get a lot

Who makes Ploffo?

DB Events BV, the agency behind Defy & Brand Events. We use Ploffo for our own clients.

Why is it called Ploffo?

From “plof”, the Flemish sound for something gone in one go. Plof, your head is empty. Plof, it’s out. A small explosion, the good kind: quick, easy, done before you’ve said it.
