Image sizes
Which size for which place.
Not per channel, but per placement. A YouTube short and a YouTube video are two very different things, and the same goes for a feed and a story.
One vertical image at 1080 × 1920 can be a reel, two stories and a short. Four posts from one file.

Where it goes wrong
- An Instagram carousel is cropped to the ratio of the first image. If images two to ten differ, Instagram crops without asking.
- All video on Facebook now publishes as a reel. So don’t count on landscape there any more.
- A design with text is better padded than cropped: put it unchanged on a canvas of the target format, with a background colour taken from the image itself.
Questions we get a lot
Why more than one size per channel?
Because a channel has several placements. Instagram alone has a feed, a reel and a story, and all three want something different.
Do I have to use exactly those pixels?
No, the ratio matters most. The pixel sizes are what the platforms recommend for sharpness; slightly smaller is fine, a different ratio gets cropped.
Does Ploffo do this automatically?
Ploffo scales and flags, but never crops into your image on its own. You see what the platform would make of it and decide.
