Codex
Schedule from Codex, with one block of configuration.
Codex reads its MCP servers from one configuration file. Add Ploffo there, and the tools are ready in the CLI and the editor extension.
How to add it
Open the configuration file
~/.codex/config.toml.Add a block
Add a
[mcp_servers.ploffo]section with the URL and your key, as shown alongside.Restart
The Ploffo tools are then available in Codex CLI and the editor extension — the same configuration covers both.
config.toml
[mcp_servers.ploffo]
url = "https://mcp.ploffo.com"
bearer_token_env_var = "PLOFFO_API_KEY"What to know
- Put your key in an environment variable (
PLOFFO_API_KEY), not directly in the file.
Questions we get a lot
Does this cover both the CLI and the editor extension?
Yes, the same configuration file serves both.
Does this work yet?
The MCP server opens at launch, together with the rest of the API.
